As a teenager, I sometimes or often become lazy and not in the "mood" to do anything, which keeps me a step away from achieving anything in my life or even giving me the thought of using my time wisely. However thank god that's not a habit that's growing inside of me and "most" of the time I'm able to get up and fight the laziness. Unfortunately many teens fell for that trick or trap and have grown into the habit of Laziness, it's always early to fix ourselves. While researching and thinking about today's topic, I realized that we gain that laziness because, we are always free with nothing to do. But why is that, why can't we ever think outside of the box meaning; that if we think about going out and exercising in a positive way more than in a negative way we will enjoy what we are doing. Ironic how we ignore and keep a distance between what benefits us and give attention and focus on what harms us. Such as video games, computers, etc. The reason behind laziness after deep research is that a person is lazy if he is able to carry out some activity that he ought to carry out, but is disinclined to do so because of the effort involved. Instead, he carries out the activity perfunctorily; or engages in some other, less strenuous or less boring activity; or remains idle. In short, he is being lazy if his motivation to spare himself effort trumps his motivation to do the right or expected a thing. So eventually I guess now you know the reason behind laziness and why we never feel like doing anything in the outside world, I think that we could motivate teens by guiding them to the goals they need to achieve and let them walk the road themselves. In the next Blog, I will be talking about the role of the parents into motivating and supporting their children into achieving their goal and guiding them. At the same time know the limits.
